Closet Organizing Plan
Space plan, tips, and recommended products to organize your new closet.
Tips and Product Recommendations
Clothing
To make the most use of your closet space, hang as much clothing as possible. Hanging clothing is less effort to put away and keep tidy.
For items you do wish to fold and store within drawers or bins, I recommend file folding.
Hangers
It appears most of your hangers are already space-saving velvet in a matching color. Keeping your hangers consistent allows clothes to hang more evenly and creates a much tidier look.
Empty Hangers
Reserve a small area of hanging rod space for your extra, unused hangers. When you remove a piece of clothing from a hanger, be sure to move the empty hanger to that spot. This will keep your closet looking tidy and prevent you from having to search for empty hangers when putting away laundry.

A small catchall tray or bowl placed on the countertop creates a landing place for items that tend to create surface clutter.

Maintenance
Utilize a bin for donations.
If there’s something that doesn’t fit well, is damaged, or you simply no longer want, add it to the bin. Once the bin is full, take the contents to a donation center.
This continual maintenance prevents the need for overwhelming purge sessions.
